"This leaves web developers with a problem. Whilst we may be passionate about our browser of choice, the vast majority of non-geeks in the real world use whatever browser is on their PC. Most people will only switch if a techie-friend does it for them — and I bet they don’t notice any significant differences."
What is a Web Browser? No One Knows!
This should not come as a surprise to any web developer. Every time a client tells us about a layout issue on their website, we always ask which browser they are using, and they always respond with a baffled silence. It should also serve notice on CSS Kids who think it’s OK to post polite messages telling people their browser sucks and won’t be supported by their website. The message is meaningless to the vast majority of people.
